Who is Nick?
I'm Nick. I moved to the Chianti hills some years ago and I never left. What started as a trip became a life.
I press my own olive oil — it's called Ladinum, and it comes from the trees around my house. I drink the local wine. I go to the sagre. I know the butcher, the baker, and the guy who makes the best pici in the valley.
I started writing because I kept meeting Americans who wanted to know the real Tuscany — not the postcard version, not the tour operator version, but the one I live in every day.
So that's what this site is. No affiliate links, no sponsored tours, no "10 best Instagram spots." Just what's actually here, told straight.
